Louis has won multiple international awards for his work, including first and second place in the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI)’s print competition–what many consider as the Oscar’s of wedding photography. Louis was the only Asian on the WPPI 2008 winners’ list. In 2009, Louis scooped one of four WPPI International Print of the Year award, one of the highest accolades for the organization and Louis’ eighth WPPI awards. sekarang aku sdg berada di rumah mentua aku dok tunggu berbuka. masuk berbuka kt sini hr ni 7.23pm. wife aku dok ready table. td aku sampai kul 6.30pm terus wife aku ajak kuar pi beli mknn psl mak mentua aku xdak. dia pi kursus kt negeri sembilan. so xdak org masak. tgh2 beli td hujan lebat giler sib baik kejap je. kalo lama hujan alamat berbuka puasa kt bazaar ramadhan lah jawabnya. minggu depan dh nk raya. baju raya awal2 lagi ak dh beli. semenjak dh kawen ni tiap2 tahun aku beli baju baru. rasa semangat semacam ja nk raya lps kawen ni. tahun ni kami beraya kt kg aku. pagi tu dh plan aku nk amik gambar satu family depan umah pastu nk frame gantung kt dlm rumah. mlm ni insyaallah plan mkn kt koaytiaw Iman akan diteruskan setelah mlm td xdpt pi. dh lama xmkn situ kalo dulu every week aku mkn situ.

bulan puasa tahun ni special sikit bg aku. psl wife keja AS, so aku selalu blk dr Kulim ke AS. letih gak. semlm lps keja aku terus blk. ngntuk gila masa on the way. sib baik dok terkejut keta dok cilok buat kuang ajaq depan keta aku. lps terkejut terus hilang ngntuk. mula2 plan nk ikut jln biasa tapi psl nk sampai awal aku masuk hi-way. 160km/j aku tibai. sampai umah mentua aku kt AS dlm pukul 6lbh. dok lepak jap sambil wife aku prepare table. masuk waktu then terus bebuka. aku mkn xtambah pon nasik psl aku nk diet. semenjak lepas kawin ni rasa badan mmg naik bnyk. after bebuka aku terus solat. then wife aku masuk bilik aku bgtau dia kang dlm kul 10 nk ajak dia kuar pi mkn koaytiaw Iman. OK kata dia tapi dia nk rest jap. aku pon sama lah landing jap...zzzZZZZ... aku tersedar kul 1am. haha.. melepas koaytiaw Iman. terus sambung tido sampai sahur. lps sahur terus relax jap then mandi and solat. selepas member kucupan mesra kpd isteriku, aku terus bertolak mai keja kt Kulim. ikut jalan biasa. habis semua keta aku cilok. lori treler, lori kontena semua kena tibai. sampai tempat keja terus bukak mail. xbnyk isu. then selepas membalas mail2 merapu kt member2, aku terus mask prod floor. lps meeting aku terus terlekat kt line ni sampailah la ni. haha..

teringat aku puasa 2 tahun lps kt US: LA and Chicago (masa ni xdak DSLR lagi). kt LA sib bek hotel dkt ngn kedai pakistan. tiap2 hari aku mkn beriyani. best betul dpt nasik. ada satu hari tu masa aku tgh beli kt kedai t, ada sorg Syrian mai nk beli buah kurma . dia punyalah dok explain kt pekerja mexican tu tapi mexican tu xfaham2. then aku pon mencelah lah bgtau barulah mexican tu faham. dia xtau yg in english org panggil buah kurma tu "date". lps mamat syrian tu sembang2 sat ngn aku dia pon blah. tu kt LA. after LA, aku ngn member bertolak ke Chicago. kes naya. kt hotel tu xdak kedai halal nearby. yg aku Google pon xwujud dah kedai tu. apa lagi. tiap2 hari mkn fish burger ngn fries ja lah. tawakal je lah. sampai nk termuntah dah dok mkn tu. sabor je le. sib bek lah aku blk tinggal lg 2-3 hari nk raya. sempat lah raya kt kg.

this was actually has been planned a month earlier. initially there was around 15 of my friends agreed to join. but eventually it increased by double to 31 persons! it was a great day back then with laughters and not forget to mention, bruises. i, myself got 2 bruises on my arms. feeling like want to go out for some Rambo action but then, i'm the one got Rambo-ed! haha.. 2nd time Rambo action is useless also as i'm out of bullet in the middle of the scene leaving my enemy with smile. darn! need to organize again next time for payback! haha!!

FELDA is probably one of the most malay-populated area in Malaysia. i like the surroundings in FELDA. houses of neighbours nearby, the arrangment of houses, landscape and etc. well, for my photoshoot job on last March 14, 2009, it was held in FELDA near Kuala Ketil. the reception ceremony was so happening. with silat and singing, i am glad that i am part of it! :)

[Kulim Hi-Tech Park Mountainbike explorace 2009]

on 8 March 2009, hired as OP for this event, my job is to capture moments/photos of this ride from start until the end. actually, i was into MTB before but it was a while ago when my last feet on pedals due to some circumstances. this ride distance is approx. 55km that consist of onroad and offroad. the event start as early as 7.30am in the morning and finish at 4.00pm in the evening. the first rider to arrive was at 10.15am, with ride duration at a staggering time of approx. 2hrs45min. this guy, Zabidi from Permatang Pauh, against all odds, denies organizer's expectation that the first rider would arrive at 11.30am. way to go Zabidi! you should sign up with National Team someday! :)

northern states of Malaysia are full of greeny area such as paddy field, palm oil and rubber trees. well, for this outdoor session that happened in Feb 2009, lucky enough for us that this area (somewhere in Kuala Nerang, Kedah) have both. paddy field nearby rubber trees. taking advantage of this, the outdoor session encumbered both area in sixties theme (tema 60-an).

haha...lawak betullah.. semlm aku pi keje kuar rumah dlm kul 8am lepas tgk ulangan Jozan Show. mlm tu hujan so pagi masa aku pi keje berkabus lah on the way ke Kulim Hitech Park. dh berkabus tu so aku bukaklah lampu. bukak lampu pon bukan psl aku xnmpak jalan tapi nk bg keta lain nmpak aku pasal aku bwk kancil so slow lah sikit. wife bawak keta satu lg pi Sekolah (mengajar). biasalah aku husband mithali bg wife bawak keta elok aku bwk keta lama. hehe.. so lps sampai building KM6 aku pon parking lah mcm biasa.. and amik backpack aku terus galas and jalan lah masuk ke KM6 building for TRIZ class. aku keje KM1. mai KM6 ni utk TRIZ class. hgpa perasan x apa yg aku lupa masa kuar keta? ya betul! lampu lupa padam! xyah tekalah masa aku nk blk keja apa jadi..start keta x bunyi apa pon..x hidup..then baru noticed lampu x tutup..kua kua kua.. tapi xpa.. aku xpanik.. aku terus pi panggil guards mintak tolong tolak keta..dh tolak2 x hidup gak.."ishk..awat lak ni tolak pon xleh hidup?", aku berfikir sendirian dlm hati.. then selepas termenung sejenak barulah teringat keta ni pakai bateri sel kering! kalo dh habis mn leh tolak.. no charging! harhar.. the tgh dok tolak tu my fren Saiful pass by and dia bgtau leh tumpangkan aku pi beli bateri.. terus pi ATM amik duit dulu and pi beli bateri (sel kering jugak..hehe)..terbang RM130..huhu.. then patah blk mai KM6 pasang bateri and start..then tunggu apa lg.. terus balik umah ler.. hahaha.. sekian saja coretan aku..hehe.. moral kt sini..oops salah..bukan setakat jgn lupa tutup lampu..tapi moralnya ialah: kalo bateri sel kering dah kong, xyah ler nk bazirkan tenaga nk tolak..xkan hidup nye... harhar..

note: penulis menulis coretan ini semasa TRIZ class. haha..
